About the show
Two bodies of work in one room: the large format paintings in wax and oil, and the smaller, more recent work in acrylic. They are made to be stood in front of. Photographs of them are a report, not the thing.
The large works hold their energy at a distance and then keep rewarding a closer look, which is the order most people meet them in. The acrylics are quieter and quicker, and seeing the two together is the point of hanging them together.
Meet the artist
Saturday 10 October, 2–5 pm, at YoungPlace. Greg will be there for the afternoon. Drop in at any point; there's nothing formal to be on time for. A note beforehand helps me plan, but it isn't required.
If you can't make the tenth, write to me and I'll arrange a private viewing at a quieter hour during the run.
Visiting
YoungPlace, 180 Shaw Street, Toronto. Open Monday to Friday, 9 am–7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9 am–5 pm, from 1 to 16 October. Admission is free.
